मृत व्यक्ति के लिये गया जी मे श्राद्ध करना, उनके लिये मुक्ति का मार्ग प्रशश्त करना हमारा कर्तव्य है, इस कार्य को विधिवत करने पर मृत व्यक्तियों को मोक्ष की प्राप्ति होती है, वे सततः प्रसन्न होते है और आशीर्वाद की वर्षा करते है। It is our duty to perform Shraddha at Gaya Ji for the dead person and to pave the way for their salvation. By doing this work properly, the dead people attain salvation, they become happy continuously and shower blessings.
गयाजी मे होने वाले श्राद्ध Shraaddh in Gaya
गया की फल्गु नदी में स्नान और तर्पण करने से पितरों को देव योनि प्राप्त होती है। हिंदू समाज का दृढ़ विश्वास है कि गया में श्राद्ध पिंडदान करने से उनकी सात पीढ़ियों के पितरों को मुक्ति मिल जाती है। कहा जाता है कि गया में यज्ञ, श्राद्ध, तर्पण और पिंड दान करने से मनुष्य को स्वर्गलोक एवं ब्रह्मलोक की प्राप्ति होती है। By taking bath and offering prayers in the Falgu river of Gaya, the ancestors attain the divine status. Hindu society strongly believes that by performing Shraddha Pind Daan in Gaya, their ancestors of seven generations get salvation. It is said that by performing Yagya, Shraddha, Tarpan and Pind Daan in Gaya, a person attains heaven and Brahmalok.
हमे श्राद्ध क्यों करना चाहिए? Why should we perform "Shraddha"?
"पुन्नामनरकात् त्रायते इति पुत्रः" अर्थात् - नरक से जो त्राण (रक्षा) करता है, वही पुत्र है। समान्यतः जीवसे इस जीवन में पाप और
पुण्य दोनों होते हैं, पुण्य का फल है स्वर्ग, और पाप का फल है नर्क। नरक में पापी को घोर यातनाएँ भोगनी पड़ती हैं।
स्वर्ग-नर्क भोगने के बाद जीव पुनः अपने कर्मो के अनुसार चौरासी लाख योनियों में भटकने लगता हैं। पुण्य आत्मा मनुष्य योनि
अथवा देव योनि प्राप्त करते है। पापआत्मा पशु-पक्षी, किट-पतंग आदि तिर्यक् एवं अन्यान्य निम्न योनियाँ प्राप्त करते हैं।
अतः अपने शास्त्रों के अनुशार पुत्र-पौत्र आदि का यह कर्तव्य होता है कि वे अपने माता-पिता तथा अपने पूर्वजो के निमित्त श्रद्धापूर्वक
कुछ ऐसे शास्त्रोक्त कर्म करें। जिससे उन मृत प्राणियों को परलोक में अथवा अन्य योनियों में भी सुख की प्राप्ति हो इसके, इसलिए
भारतीय संस्कृति तथा सनातन धर्म में पितृ-ऋण से मुक्त होने के लिए अपने माता-पिता तथा परिवार के मृत प्राणियों के निमित्त श्राद्ध
करने की अनिवार्य आवश्यकता बतायी गयी है। श्राद्ध कर्म को पितृ-कर्म भी कहते है। पितृ कर्म से तात्पर्य पितृ पूजा से है।
"पुन्नामनरकात् त्रायते इति पुत्रः" means The one who saves (protects) from hell is the son.
Generally, in this life both sin and virtue occur, the result of virtue is heaven,
and the result of sin is hell. In hell the sinner has to suffer severe tortures.
After experiencing heaven and hell, the living beings again start wandering in
eighty-four lakh births according to their deeds. The virtuous soul attains the
human form or the divine form. Sinful souls attain the lower births like animals,
birds, kites etc.
Therefore, as per the scriptures, it is the duty of the sons and
grandsons etc. to perform such scripture-based deeds with devotion for the sake of
their parents and their ancestors. So that those dead beings can attain happiness
in the next world or in other life also, hence in Indian culture and Sanatan Dharma,
it is mandatory to perform Shraddha for the dead beings of one's parents and family
in order to be free from the debt of ancestors. Has gone. Shraddha Karma is also
called Pitra Karma. Pitru Karma means ancestor worship.

वायु पुराण आदि कई पुराणों में आया है कि किसी प्रेत ने एक वैश्य से कहा कि 'आप मेरे नाम से गयाशिर में पिंडदान कर दे, इससे हमारी प्रेत योनि से मुक्ति हो जायेगी। मेरा संपूर्ण धन आप ले लें और उसे लेकर मेरे उद्देश्य से गया श्राद्ध कर दें। इसके बदले में मैं अपनी संपत्ति का छठा अंश आपको पारिश्रमिक के रूपमें दे रहा हुँ। मैें अपना नाम गोत्र आदि भी बता रहा हूँ। प्रेत के अनुरोध पर उस वनिक्ने गया की यात्रा की और गयासिर में जाकर उस प्रेत के निमित्त पिंड प्रदान किया और उसके बाद अपने पितरों का भी पिंड दान किया। पिण्डदान के प्रभाव से वह प्रेत, प्रेत योनि से मुक्त हो गया। It has been mentioned in many Puranas like Vayu Purana etc. that a ghost said to a Vaishya that 'You offer Pind Daan in Gayashir in my name, this will free us from the ghostly form. You take all my money and perform Gaya Shraddha with it for my purpose. In return, I am giving you one-sixth of my property as remuneration. I am also telling my name, Gotra etc. On the request of the ghost, that forest dweller traveled to Gaya and went to Gayasir and donated the pinda for the ghost and after that he also donated the pinda of his ancestors. Due to the effect of Pind Daan, he became free from the ghostly form.
